Sometimes people assume faith-based education means discouraging students from asking difficult questions.
Questions, however, can be an important part of developing a mature faith.
Students will encounter different beliefs and perspectives throughout their lives.
Preparing them doesn’t mean pretending those perspectives don’t exist.
Instead, students can learn to examine ideas carefully, understand different viewpoints, ask thoughtful questions, and articulate what they believe and why they believe it.
These critical-thinking skills are valuable in college, careers, relationships, and everyday life.
Character Is Part of Education
A student’s future success won’t be determined only by what they know.
Character matters.
Will they keep their word?
Will they treat people with respect?
Will they work hard when something is difficult?
Will they admit when they’ve made a mistake?

The purpose of a biblical worldview isn’t to prevent students from encountering different ideas.
Students will eventually interact with people who have different backgrounds, beliefs, values, and experiences.
A strong foundation can prepare Christian students to enter those environments with confidence while treating others with kindness and respect.
They can learn to disagree without being disrespectful.
They can listen without abandoning their convictions.
And they can demonstrate their faith through both their words and their actions.
